Order Glosselytrodea

wing
Eoglosselytron perfectum, fore wing (after Martynova, in Rohdendorf et al, 1961)

These small insects endopterygius insects resembled, and may have been related to, the Caloneurodea.  Most species had a well-marked basal expansion enclosing rows of cellules in the costal area of the tegminous fore wing (see above figure.)

The order was originally considered to have a stratigraphic range from the Early Permian to the Late Jurassic but is now considered to be Permian.
